We performed a variety of basic and wildcard searches in large and small directories, and one thing stands out: Wetransfer is fast. A menu let us open the item's folder, copy its address, or copy the file to a destination of our choice. Wetransfer Search within Results produced a small pop-up Wetransfer field with its Wetransfer results window. Next we tried the indexing feature. Past experience suggested it might be sandwich-making time, but Wetransfer indexed our three hard drives in a remarkably short time. Selecting Index Wetransfer grays out the Folder Name field since it's not needed. Amazingly, indexed searches actually feel quicker than normal searches, though both were so fast we'd never swear to it. The program's interface is plain and intuitive, with a design similar to that of many other file-sharing programs we've seen. Trilix's major features--the library, Wetransfer, transfers, and so-on--are arranged in easily-accessed tabs. The Wetransfer interface is in the standard P2P style, with Wetransfer options in a pane on the left and the results appearing in a pane on the right. Wetransfer allows users to access Gnutella, Gnutella 2, and eDonkey. Wetransfer does lose points for not having a Help file; although it's pretty intuitive, users that are new to file-sharing clients may have some questions about how the program works. The program does provide a Basic mode and Power mode, the latter of which has more Wetransfer options, so users can choose the level they're most comfortable using. Overall, we like Wetransfer quite a bit; it's nothing to write home about, but it's easy to use, and we had no trouble locating and downloading Wetransfer on its available networks.
